Pre-Transit Oriented Development Assessment Guidelines for Assessing Metro Station Dependent Component Area

Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) assessment models are commonly used to assess existing and planned metro station catchment areas. Elements like diversity, density, design, destination, distance, demand management considered in the 6Ds TOD model. Assessment of these elements designing stage depends on expert’s involvement ensure effectiveness The aim this research is develop novel pre-TOD guidelines that consist Spatial Analysis, Virtual Function Transit Station (VFTS), Estimated which can improve reliability conclusion according 16 planning elements. applies three methodologies: (1) analytical approach evaluate concept its model; (2) development using Delphi technique; (3) conduct a case study Doha Exhibition Convention Center Qatar validate developed findings new concept, called Dependent Component Area (DCA) station, VFTS classifications include an urban connector, suburban destination connector. newly enhance methods, especially emerging cities. Moreover, will provide experts with more precise data information related DCA.
